VARA Grant Information

 

To be eligible for a VARA Grant, you must meet the following criteria:

1.     Must be a current VARA member.

2.     Must belong to a VARA member race program.

3.     Must be a  U14/U16 and older level racer.

VARA Financial Grant Program - supports dedicated VARA member athletes who have shown significant progress in alpine racing. This program recognizes those who have demonstrated perseverance, commitment, and a relentless drive to reach their highest potential as competitors.

A limited number of grants are available each year. Funds/grants available include awards to U14's in the amount of $1000 and $3000 for U16 and older.

• Applications are due Sept 16, 2024, by noon. *
• The VARA Committee will review grant applications, contact applicants' home programs, and notify recipients by September 25th.

*Applications will not be accepted for U12 and under, or if the application is not be complete by noon on September 16.

Additionally, there is in-season travel assistance, which can be used to help with expenses for events, post-season events, and states.  - Form

Applications that are complete and timely will be given priority. Late applications may be considered if funds are available.

VARA  has been able to support VARA member Vermont athletes with up to 45,000 dollars.
