Note:

There is no waiver allowing a child to compete on a ski shorter than required by the rules.
At most events, equipment issues are to be handled on a protest basis.
Equipment rules will be enforced at Jr. Olympics and FIS Children's events.

Requests for exceptions to required minimum VD requirements & application of minimum penalty can be made on an event by event basis to the Regional Director. The request will then be forwarded to the National Office for final approval. Please file any request for an exception in a timely manner.

From Tim Maguire is the USSA Race Exemption Request form for any organizer wishing to 1) run more than one scored race (SL, GS) in a day, or 2) Have the minimum penalty of 25.00 waived. These forms need to be in Tim's hands by October 20th, 2009.
